Build so far summary....

So far our building journey has been great but not without some hiccups along the way.  You hear a lot of horror stories from people who have built but I can honestly say overall we have had a good experience.

Right through the entire process we have had great people from McDonald Jones assisting us.  Our sales consultant Heidi, our client liaison Wendy, our awesome colours rep Christine, slab supervisor Ryan and lastly our construction supervisor Dave!  All have been fantastic!  Even down to the trades on site who have taken the time to talk and explain things to us.

Next on the agenda is the cornice work and over the next 3 weeks or so we have the water proofing of the wet areas, doors, skirts and archs, tiling, kitchen install and tiling etc.  We have been told that the painters are booked for the 20th April and that all going well the inside painting and the outside bag and paint should be done in about 10 days which will bring us to the end of April.

Now anyone that might be following our blog, please feel free to contact us if you are looking at the Bronte as we would be more than happy to share our experience with you or answer any questions.

I was lucky enough to find a blog or two along our journey which certainly helped and gave me a few ideas.

:-)

  1. Hi Mark! My partner and I are building our own Bronte Executive Lodge (fingers crossed) soon - we're just discussing quote variations at the moment before signing on the dotted line. I'm glad I found your blog and am eagerly following!
